"Are there any services that accept PayPal and then send that payment
to India? What is the easiest way to get my money out of PayPal?" -- Hitesh
Currently, residents of about
20 countries are able to withdraw funds from PayPal into their local
bank (www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=p/gen/fees-withdrawal-outside).
But it's difficult if you don't live in one of those countries. Some businesses
set up a bank account in one of the countries that can withdraw
funds from PayPal and then transmit funds to a bank in their home country
via SWIFT or wire transfer. Such accounts may be subject to exchange control
regulations. Another approach is to have a relative or friend withdraw
the money for you from PayPal and then transmit it to you.
In addition to bank-to-bank funds transfers, in the US both Western
Union (www.westernunion.com) and Citibank's
c2it service (www.c2it.com) provide ways to transmit money to India.
E-commerce services that handle transactions (other than PayPal) and will
remit money to international merchants include CCNow
for tangible goods (www.ccnow.com) and DigiBuy
for digital goods (www.digibuy.com). Also consider WorldPay
(www.worldpay.com) and PlanetPayment
(www.planetpayment.com) for international merchants selling goods through
standard shopping cart programs.
