Learnings from the Emetrics Summit, May 6-9, 2007, San FranciscoDr. Ralph F. Wilson, Editor-in-Chief Web Marketing Today Rocklin, CA - May 30, 2007 |
I attended E-Metrics Summit in San Francisco, May 7-9, 2007 (www.emetrics.org) and came away quite impressed with what I saw as well as inspired to go home and begin to implement some of the things I learned. When I attended the second annual Emetrics Summit in Santa Barbara several years ago, it was great, but confined to plenary sessions and attended by a roomful of geeks, er, very technically minded people. The Emetrics Summit has now both broadened and deepened with a wide variety of people attending who are responsible for analytics in their companies and a multitude of specialized workshops. If someone from your company hasn't attended one of these, put it on the calendar for October 14-17, 2007 when the conference comes to Washington, DC. Here are some of the things that impressed me:
- Keys to Web Analytics according to Jim Sterne
- The Web Analytics Industry is Gradually Taking Shape
- An Analytics Consulting Model for Small Businesses (in Web Marketing Today Free Edition)
- Web Analytics Program Enhancements Seen at the Emetrics Summit
- A First Look at Google Website Optimizer
- A Uniform Campaign Tracking ID that Makes Sense
