Grocery Store Sends Coupons via E-mail

Customers are set free from the hassle of the constant clipping, filing, and remembering coupons for their grocery trips with a new program offered in my local Kroger Store. This program, sent via e-mail, offers to sign me up to receive "virtual" coupons that work in conjunction with my current Kroger Plus Savings Card.

With the Upon.com program, coupons are personally selected for my household through a profile that determines we have a cat and a dog and children in our home. This winnows down the coupon offers to select the ones that would be most appropriate for my family.

You page through the various coupon offers and check the ones you desire. Those offers are automatically transferred to the Kroger Card and are available to use within two hours.

Check out their website at: http://kroger.upons.com/upons/Start.do If you're a retailer with another grocery chain, contact Upons at www.upons.com

Even smaller retailers can glean some terrific ideas of ways to meld the local shopping experience with the Internet.
