Manufacturers won't allow prices on the Web?

"Instant Quote" buttons at GolfWeb's Pro Shop are used adjacent to products from those manufacturers that do not allow their prices on the Web. http://www.proshop.golfweb.com While this might not satisfy your cautious manufacturer, it's worth a try. Another store provides instant e-mail delivery of current prices as a way around a manufacturer's prohibitions.

Credit Card Fraud Protections

Here's a notice that appeared in the order-taking section of one website http://ld.net/usatel/?popa:

"For your safety, your IP address will be recorded. In the event of suspected credit card fraud, Police agencies and your local phone company will cooperate to determine the phone number from which your call originated."
Another precaution might be to prohibit sales to shoppers who only give a "free" e-mail address such as yahoo.com or hotmail.com, since these can't be traced in case of fraud.
