I can easily run reports against any criteria. I can export my affiliate list to a file and import into Excel or other software. It puts my program on automatic. I don't have to THINK about it!

This software is designed primarily for those who want to run an affiliate program AND distribute digital products (but can be used for hard goods too). There are many features that I really like about this software that you won't find in other programs: 1) It will automatically generate for each customer a unique download URL that expires after an amount of time that I specify. 2) It can also automatically generate for each customer a unique username and password for a "members only" Web site. 3) All customer info is automatically stored in a password protected online database. 4) It has good ad tracking capabilities, and you can create ad codes "on the fly" without any programming. Once set up, I have found the software to be totally reliable. I like all the above features, and I particularly like the time-limited download feature. Other than 3rd party services (like Digibuy), there's nothing like it that I am aware of. I have not yet implemented my affiliate program (I plan to use this part of the software soon), but I like its features. You can run a 1 or 2 tier program, and establish an unlimited number of commission payout rates by dollar amount or percentage You can also offer "tiered" payouts based on the size of the customer order. Another big bonus is that the software is hosted on my own server, so there are no monthly fees payable to run the program (normally $30-$100/month with other programs). You just pay a one time fee for the software and installation is included -- a big plus. What's my absolute favorite feature of this software program?... Without a doubt it is the service I have received from Paul Galloway. I should point out that I have no personal bias on this point. I've never met Paul and had not spoken to him prior to inquiring about his software. Anyways, the level of service I have received has been truly outstanding. I can reach him by e-mail or phone at any time. His turnaround time on all inquiries (and I've had several dozen) has consistently been incredible. In most cases, he responds within minutes or a couple of hours most. I've NEVER waited more than 24 hours. And his replies are very clear and specific. If I need a script altered or any other work on the software, he usually has it completed within 1-2 days, often in hours. He's also very open to suggestions for improving/customizing the software further to meet my needs, and has done so on a few occasions at no additional cost. It is clear that Paul is someone who truly cares about the satisfaction of his clients and will do whatever it takes to make and keep them happy.

It works! It uses flat files so there are no database headaches. Recovery from errors is extremely simple. Synergyx maintains accurate, real-time data flawlessly. I am able to provide up-to-the-minute commissions information to every affiliate in my program. They can look at how much they have coming to them at any time. I have clear reports about my earnings and commissions due. It is easily customized. The Perl code is, for the most part, organized and well developed.

Auto downloads, support

Synergyx resides on MY server, has a built-in shopping cart and multiple gateway interfaces, an easy to use, full-featured merchant admin and a great reseller admin with not only real time sales, commission and downline stats, but also ad tracking capabilities (resellers love this). For downloadable products (eBooks) like mine, Synergyx also has a built in digital product delivery system. Very cool.

Negatives:

Nada -- It's good stuff.

I have not experienced any major annoyances with the software, but I have experienced a few minor ones during the implementation phase. Usually it was a case one of Paul's programmer's fixing problem A, only to create a new problem B. This was frustrating at times because I was always having to check the appearance and functionality of my site to be sure all was well. The kinds of problems I found were things like text getting misformatted, links no longer working, etc. However, Paul was always extremely quick to resolve each of these problems. There were also a few very minor "bugs" with the functionality of the admin interface, but again, Paul was quick to fix them.

Anything we have needed, Paul has been able to add for a very reasonable cost.

Minor: Alignment issues, can't search for orders by specific date, can't do a date range. Can only search by month.

Configuring the shopping cart portion of the application can be difficult.

Limited reporting capabilities

I definitely feel I made the best choice for my needs, despite the annoyances during the installation phase. I did a lot of research on many of the affiliate software programs in your list, 3rd party networks (like CJ), and digital fulfillment services.

The electronic delivery of my ebook is a great security feature. Creates one time generated download codes. It handles sending receipts etc to clients. It handles everything you can possibly need to do from A to Z. Complete, comprehensive, Synergyx is truly first in its class!

Simply the best I've seen to manage our affiliate program on our own vs. letting another company handle it for a 15% take.

This is Paul Galloway's software and as with YOAP, his customer service is nothing short of top-notch. I resell only a few products, and Synergyx is among them. It's really more of a complete digital product e-commerce system.
