Yahoo! Store Review and Customer Loyalty
Dear friends,
Christmas is over, and many e-tailers did pretty well. I hope you did. But now it's time to re-tool and re-think what we're doing so we can exceed the competition. I believe in incremental improvement -- always improving something. In this issue I take a close look at Yahoo! Store and come away impressed. They've certainly been improving! I also look at some ways to build customer loyalty that is so essential to e-tail profits.
Next week I'll be publishing January's e-commerce links. My site's incremental improvement for January and February involves moving the entire site to a faster server and doing a major upgrade on the articles database search feature. Does it ever end? No. :-)
God bless you,
Dr. Ralph F. Wilson, Editor
P.S. As you may know, last month I published a one-of-a-kind e-book, "12 Ways to Give Your Webstore a Sales Boost: Proven Techniques to Increase the Conversion Rate in Your Online Store" at $24.95. http://wilsonweb.com/ebooks/sales-boost.htm It's unique. There's nothing like it anywhere! Online sales guru Ken Evoy says, "It will most certainly multiply the sales from your online store!" Scott Lee, president of Superior Labels, www.superiorlabels.com, reported, "I implemented just one of the suggestions from your 12 Ways to Give Your Webstore a Sales Boost and saw my sales double!"
The e-book sells for $24.95 -- and I've already sold a good number. But I am giving it away free to Web Commerce Today subscribers who renew their subscriptions prior to February 28, 2001 (and new subscribers, too). If you still have some time to go on your subscription, no problem. Check "early renewal" on the subscription form and I'll add 12 months onto the term of your current subscription. Yahoo! Store is one of the grandads of shopping cart programs, beginning in 1995 as ViaWeb. But unlike many such programs, it hasn't stopped growing or improving. Not hardly! Read the Review
