Strengths: Gammadyne Mailer is very easy to use. The branch-style interface makes learning the process quick and simple. I also like how the ôAuto insert cidö function sets up the graphics in your html documents for mailing.

Weaknesses: I find the amount of memory needed to send mass emails is a weakness with this program.

Weaknesses: needs to be further developed with more up-to-date features better bounce-back handling etc. Plus needs some other way to contact support other than just via email plus the program crashes so needs to be more compatible.

Strengths: I could not find software that delivered the robust features at the very reasonable price. It currently exceeds my needs at this time. I don't believe I have discovered nor explored the full capabilities of what it can do. The stongest features are: 1) cost; 2) sending emails directly to domain servers; and 3) allowing the text version of the email to appear before the HTML version.

Weaknesses: Setting up the conditions and which email addresses to use from the database for a specific email isn't as intuitive as I would like.

Missing? I have not discovered any based on my current needs.

Strengths: Absolutely the best value for your money. It is very well thought out full featured and I really like the straight forward approach the programmers used to build Gammadyne Mailer.

Weaknesses: It could use an overhaul to the user interface itself. I know that would increase the price for the product but I bet it would also help sell it.

Missing? It would be nice to have a way to schedule and automate tasks without having to use command line batch files and windows scheduler.

Strengths: With Gammadyne you can very easily merge *any* fields from your database into your document. It has powerful programming functionality enabling you to automatically process subscribe requests--and MUCH more. The company issues *free* updates (bug fixes and new features) nearly every month.

Weaknesses: Because the program is so powerful it has a moderately steep learning curve. In addition the programmer occasionally moves options from one submenu to another which makes it more difficult to remember how to change settings.

Missing? There's extensive online help but I don't recall there being a quick start guide to show new users how to get up and running with just the basics. It would be nice to be able to print out the online users guide but it's formatted to be read on-screen and would require a ream of paper to generate hard copy.

Strengths: I can only compare it to Mailloop which I had previously been using for a few years. It is much faster than Mailloop - can send out 2 500 individualized 15 page newsletters in about 40 minutes as compared to 3 hours for Mailloop. Allows me to extract fields directly from my ACCESS database something I could not do with Mailloop. Allows me to preview - a useful device especially when personalizing the e-mails. It is much cheaper than Mailloop and a great value. Finally the company provides regular updates (almost too frequently). Gammadyme has been a stable solid performer - however I would prefer a simpler user interface.

Weaknesses: As already mentioned the user interface is not the simplest or easiest to use.

Strengths: It does everything I need it to do. I don't use it to maintain the list or to process returned messages. However Gammadyne easily interfaces with our .dbf files for sending and allows me to personalize and filter and to send both text and HTML versions.

Weaknesses: Its individualistic interface. You get used to it.
