Strengths: Goldmine's strongest feature is that it holds ALL customer interaction not just email list propagation. This is crucial because not all customer communication comes via the web. Tracking all customer interaction is very important to understanding the success or failure of any marketing. |
Weaknesses: Goldmine is very weak in the handling of returned (bounced) email and is very time consuming to record. |
Missing? Goldmine by default can deal with importing info via web forms but not changing the information once it's in the computer (like an unsubscribe form). An 3rd party add-on program called Gold-Pump (Best-Fit Solutions) has this ability and is fairly resonable in cost. Goldpump also has many of the scripts for implementing email marketing on the web. |
