Browser-interface, unlimited mailing lists, list maintenance, list imports, automatic add or remove links, link tracking, single or double opt-in/opt-out, HTML e-mail, test e-mails. Cust Serv: 4

Qual: 4

Ease: 2

Country:
Canada

Strengths: Easy administration of multiple lists. Handles both HTML and text emails. Rock solid mailing to large list doesn't cause problems on my server (it's a CGI I run on my own server) Thorough set of double-opt-in autoresponses for both subscribe and unsubscribe easy to edit and configure.

Weaknesses: Click-through tracking of URLs in mailings is a bit clunky and inflexible.

Missing? Needs a feature to switch between text and HTML versions for a given user (not just unsubscribe then re-subscribe) Needs better handling of multiple list subscribe and unsubscribe

Qual: 3

Ease: 2

Country:
UK

Strengths: It does the job but it's not quite there yet. I am hoping it will improve in the next 12 months. Diran certainly seems to want to improve it too.

Weaknesses: You can't currently insert the recipient's name into the email. Nor can people acknowledge the wish to subscribe by simply replying to the confirmation email.

Missing? See 9.

Empl:

Training:

Cust Serv: NA

Qual: 3

Ease: 5

Country:
US

Strengths: web interface is minimal as it is a small cgi program. It's small cheap (free) and handles my emails well (although some AOL account are still receiving the html format as straight code not the rendered version).

Weaknesses: Could use a preview before sending along with better list management. (but that's what the purchase version is for)
