Shopper's Guide to Shopping Cart Programs

You need to be able to translate your site and ordering system -- and currency system -- for sales in several countries. Or you need a system that will handle double-bit languages such as Japanese, Korean, or Chinese.

Most of the better carts have the ability to translate the ordering system into various European languages. Most also have the ability to handle the Authorize.net payment gateway which allows a merchant to use two international merchant friendly solutions -- PlanetPayment.com and 2CheckOut.com -- to take payments. Some carts, particularly those catering to Europeans, are also able to use WorldPay payment gateway which allows commerce in many nations.

Here I'm listing only those carts which can use double-bit languages, which allow translation into Japanese, Chinese, and Korean.
