This article contains older information. Go here for newer information on shopping carts and transactions.

You have just a few tangible products to sell, and no need for anything fancy. Here are a few of my recommendations, though many e-commerce applications these days are pretty simple.

PayPal * (www.paypal.com) is perhaps the simplest and least expensive system. No set-up fees.

1ShoppingCart* may be all you need if you have a few products. The program comes with a shopping cart, newsletter listserver, autoresponder, ad tracking program, and affiliate program. $19 to $69 per month.

2CheckOut * (www.2checkout.com) is another simple system if you only have a few products.

ShopSite Manager/Pro* (www.shopsite.com) is a great program, but pretty simple to operate once it's set up. You can usually purchase this through your hosting service. I've used ShopSite myself for years and really like it. I used it when I developed online stores for clients, since they could do so much themselves to maintain the store.
