Formatting Dual Text and HTML Newsletters
Issue 84, June 30, 2000
Dear Friends,
I'm proposing some changes and I need your feedback.
Here's the situation. A team of three of us spend a great deal of effort scouring dozens of periodicals each month to find the best in the field of Web marketing and bring them to you in each month's "Links Issue." We probably scan a thousand articles to find the 65 to 100 that are key to keeping you up-to-date. In the process we save you many hours.
Here's the problem. Sometimes our monthly Links Issue (often there is part 1 and part 2) gets set aside to be read another day. Even worse, people may unsubscribe from WMT altogether just because they don't like the Links Issue.
What I'm proposing as a solution is to provide the article we usually do, and then, provide the links on our website rather than in the e-mailed issue. That way those who want to see them can do so with the click of a URL, but those who don't have time, don't have to be bothered with a large e-mail.
Of course, all the new links are placed in our searchable database http://wilsonweb.com/cgi-bin/search.cgi and Web Marketing Info Center. http://wilsonweb.com/webmarket/
I'd appreciate your feedback to let me know what you think. I know I can't please everyone -- but know that my heart is to provide to you the very best value you can find on Web marketing ANYWHERE on the Web.
God bless you,
Dr. Ralph F. Wilson, Editor
P.S. For you who are counting, this is really a June 30 issue. Our regular July 1 issue will be published on Wednesday, July 5.
