Domain Name Marketing, Part 1
Issue 89, September 1, 2000
Dear Friends,
Central to marketing on the Internet these days is your company's domain name. But increasingly companies are buying and using more than one domain name. With this year's drop in domain name prices, it's no longer as big an investment in the future. We'll be looking at domain names all month. This week, selecting a domain name and why you should choose extras. Next week we'll look at valuing domain names for buying or selling. At the end of the month we'll examine how to select a domain name vendor.
I own a domain name I'm considering selling -- e-commerce-sales.com. At the end of the month I'll include a short example of what two paid-for domain look like, and how they compare to amateur appraisals on Afternic.com.
I'll be speaking in Chicago on Thursday, September 14, on the subject of "Demystifying Viral Marketing". On Friday I'll be speaking on marketing and using the Internet for communicating faith for the Gospel Communications Conference. I look forward to seeing a number of you in Chicago.
For those of you who can't make it to Chicago, you can obtain a free copy of my $12 e-book "Demystifying Viral Marketing" just by subscribing to my free weekly Doctor Ebiz newsletter. http://www.doctorebiz.com/offers/2ebooks.htm
