A common question is: "What e-mail program should I use to send out personalized e-mails?" Literally dozens of programs don't make it simple. Overall, e-mail merge sending programs are divided into two categories: (1) desktop programs and (2) ASPs (Application Service Providers) with a Web interface. Some are very good; others are mediocre.

I've spent dozens of hours researching these programs, and I've just scratched the surface. Over the next few months I'll be providing selection information, product reviews, and user feedback to help you with your selections.
